Hālau Pō Me Nani – School of Hawaiian Spiritual Studies

School of the Ancestors

Hālau Pō Me Nani

International School of Hawaiian Spiritual Studies & Practitioner Training

This Hālau exists to share Authentic Hawaiian Lineage Teachings through direct teaching by recognised Kumu Julia  Nālani. Here, learning is relational, lived, and guided by responsibility to the Ancestors, the practices, and those who come to learn.

We are a living Hawaiian Studies community offering culturally accurate education in Hawaiian Lomilomi, Ho‘oponopono, Hula, Oli, and Hawaiian Spiritual Teachings and Practice. Teaching is experiential, grounded in our Lineage, and designed for those Practitioners who seek depth, clarity, and correct foundations — whether beginning their journey or refining an existing practice.

Who we are…

When the Student is ready, the Teachers appear

Hālau Pō Me Nani is a Lineage-based school of Traditional Hawaiian Spiritual Teachings and Practitioner Training.

Our teachings have been lived, practiced, and passed down through 51 Generations.

Our lineage comes from Hālawa Valley, Molokai, through
Kumu Paʻa Nui Lawrence Kalainia Kamani Aki (50th Generation).

The Hālau is taught by Kumu Paʻa Julia Nālani Adams (51st Generation), ʻūnikiʻd in April 2022.

This is not modern wellness Hawaiian-inspired work. This is Traditional Hawaiian healing and spirituality, taught as a lived path. The Ancestors are waiting to teach you…

Our School is for…

Practitioners – and those preparing to become practitioners

You may already be working with Clients, or you may feel called to step into professional practice.

Either way, this school is for those who are ready to:

  • Learn beyond technique

  • Be guided, assessed, and mentored

  • Work with Hawaiian Teachings ethically and accurately

  • Commit to depth, responsibility, and practice over time

If you are looking for a short course, a certificate without relationship, or purely technique-based training, this will not be the right place.

Our Teaching Philosophy

Ours is a lived spirituality – real Spirituality for real people –
with 51+ Generations standing behind it.

Foundations before depth

We teach foundations first — so your practice can go deep

Our Kumu Nui reminds us that many people rush to Z without learning the ABC’s.

Then they wonder why things don’t work.

In this Hālau:

  • Foundations come before specialisation

  • Spiritual alignment comes before advanced technique

  • Practice is grounded in protocol, relationship, and responsibility

When your foundation is strong, depth becomes safe, effective, and sustainable.

Learn Step by Step

We break everything down into 3 easy steps. Learn your way –
like to read, watch, listen, practice, think, a bit of each?
You’re in charge. How do you like to learn?

Support and Guidance

You are supported — personally, spiritually, and professionally

Training in Hawaiian healing is not just intellectual. It affects how you think, feel, relate, and live.

Alongside structured courses, students can access:

  • Live teaching with Kumu

  • The Hawaiian Studies Community (ongoing community learning)

  • 1:1 mentoring and ongoing guidance with Kumu

  • Wise Guides who support integration and personal process

We strongly encourage all practitioner-level students to have at least one 1:1 session and a Hoʻoponopono Session during their training to help integrate learning and clear blocks that arise.

We are a school with a difference

In so many ways…traditional training certified by our Lineage that’s also recognised training in 39 Countries

Our points of difference...

Co-created with the Ancestors.

When the idea for this school was formed, it was taken to the Ancestors.
We asked:

  • What needs to be taught?

  • How should it be taught?

  • What must be protected?

Kumu listened. Then she acted. Students are taught to live and practice this way too.

It’s a True Partnership.

This is a reciprocal relationship.

Kumu teaches what has been entrusted to her.

Students carry those Teachings into life and practice in the same way theyʻre taught— helping to preserve and perpetuate them.

Course fees also contribute to projects aligned with our values.

Guided by the Teachings.

The Ancestors guide the direction.

Our responsibility is to ensure the teachings are:

  • Taught correctly

  • Practiced with integrity

  • Passed on without dilution

Grounded in people and planet.

Hawaiian Spirituality recognises that all life is interconnected.

As you learn to live this understanding daily, the quality of your work — and your life — changes.

Without hype or spiritual performance.

These teachings are given as a gift to humanity.

They do not need embellishment, trends, or spiritual theatre.

Life is simple.
People make it complex.
